Whenever we asked people if they’d been to Jarabacoa, the answer was always “Yes! You’ll love it, it’s beautiful”. Beyond that, we had no idea what to expect, but we were blown away.

Jarabacoa sits at around 1500 feet above sea level, making it a temperate climate year round. Surrounded by mountains and lush forest landscape, you won’t believe that this is in the Dominican Republic. Jarabacoa is known for its parasailing, outdoor activities like 4-wheeling and restaurants with a view. We were so excited to try it all!

First on the agenda was an incredible UTV tour through the mountains of Jarabacoa with @4wheeljarabacoa_oficial (https://www.instagram.com/4wheeljarab…). This is a NOT TO MISS tour! The team took great care of us, showing us the true beauty of Jarabacoa and the surrounding mountains. We were able to cross rivers, climb mountains and see the beautiful countryside in an incredible UTV. Next up, Jamaca De Dios, an incredibly overpriced restaurant with a stunning view. We highly recommend reserving a table well in advance and coming by for a drink after an adventurous day. You can watch the parasailers fly over the roof of the restaurant. With one of the highest vantage points in the valley, this restaurant is worth the trip.
