Traveling through Cairo International Airport and need a comfortable place to rest between flights? The Le Meridien Cairo Airport Hotel was a pleasant surprise after a late flight arrival from London. Read on to find out everything you need to know if you are considering booking an airport hotel in Cairo.

Direct Terminal Access

One of the hotel’s standout features is its direct connection to Terminal 3 via a pedestrian bridge, making it incredibly convenient for travelers with late-night arrivals or early morning departures. No need to worry about transportation – you’re just steps away from your flight. It was easy to locate and access. On the ground floor of Terminal 3, take the elevator up to the Mezzanine and cross the bridge. It was incredibly safe and easy to access.

Comfortable Accommodations

We booked a standard King room on Chase points for under 12,000 points for one night and we didn’t have high expectations. Our room was super quiet, with soundproof windows, blackout curtains, and comfortable beds. Each room has a coffee machine, minibar and stocked bathroom toiletries. The AC worked well and cooled the room within minutes.

Dining Options

If you arrive hungry, they do offer 24-hour room service. They have 3 restaurants and a sports bar if you are arriving earlier or departing later. We did not dine onsite but the breakfast restaurant was fairly full when we departed for the Ritz-Carlton. They also have a coffee shop in the lobby area if you need a quick bite and coffee in the morning.

Facilities

The Le Meridien Cairo Airport Hotel offers an impressive selection of facilities for an airport hotel. The 24/7 fitness center features modern cardio equipment, weights machines and free weights. The heated outdoor swimming pool is expansive with great views of the airport and ample loungers. If you have a long layover, it’s worth considering booking the property just to lounge a the pool for the day. The hotel also has a spa that is open until sunset. If you are here on a layover or you need to check out of your flight, we typically book inexpensive treatments at the spa so that we can enjoy a shower before we depart.

When to Book

The Cairo Airport Hotel is particularly valuable for travelers who:

  • Have late-night arrivals or early morning departures
  • Face long layovers between flights
  • Need a convenient base before starting their Egyptian adventure
  • Want to avoid Cairo’s notorious traffic before an early flight

If you have a layover between domestic flights, this would be a great value, particularly if you can book it on Chase Sapphire Reserve points that convert at 1.5 when booking through the portal. You can also unlock weekly travel specials with Gate1.

Whether you’re in transit or need a convenient base for your first night in Egypt, the Cairo Airport Hotel provides the perfect blend of comfort and convenience. Its location, amenities, and 24-hour services make it an ideal choice for travelers looking to rest and refresh between flights.
